Junior Research Analyst

The Junior Research Analyst is part of the SQM Team and plays a critical role in providing accurate and timely deliverables to our clients. In this role you will use your exceptional listening skills to measure telephone interactions against set criteria. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Data collection - organize research participants, including recruiting, training, and scheduling
  • Data evaluation - assure accuracy and maintain data integrity
  • Exercise strong organization skills to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Responsible for timely client deliverables
  • Update metrics and evaluation criteria
  • Assess program strengths, gaps, and opportunities to help management continually improve programs and maximize efficiencies
  • Maintain customer knowledge database
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills to evaluate telephone interactions, manage databases, and assist with running reports
  • Continuously strive for superior performance and take appropriate actions to help optimize the organization’s performance
  • Assist with ad hoc functions that support the Canadian business unit


We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A degree in marketing, finance, economics, business or communications
  • Understanding of the financial services landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and initiate action in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Solid technical skills, computer literate, effective working skills in MS Office
  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Effective communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and deadline oriented
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to communicate effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Solid work ethic & professional conduct demonstrated at all times
  • Takes ownership, shows personal initiative and displays drive for success
  • 2-3 years of relevant call centre experience (financial services call centre preferred) an asset
  • Bilingual in French an asset
